Finally, someone says it as it is. Thank you. I remember all sorts of names they called him then including “Elitist Governor”, they said he developed “Island alone” and all that, anyways posterity will judge everyone 🤣🤣🙏🏾🙏🏾
God Bless Lagos State.
Dear Tunde @mazitundeednut ,
We understand your persistent tendency to portray Nigeria, particularly Lagos State, in a negative light, often to the detriment of your audience. However, we believe it is important to verify information before publishing it. You can still generate engagement and earn from your content without inadvertently misleading your followers.
Contrary to your recent post showing the state of the road in Mushin, the video shared is an old one and does not reflect the current situation in the area. The location has since been cleared, and LAWMA has continued to sustain its operations in the area.
We acknowledge that Lagos, like every major city, has its challenges. One of the recurring issues in waste management is the unwillingness of some residents and property occupiers to pay for PSP waste collection services. Nevertheless, LAWMA and its teams have consistently intervened in areas where such challenges arise and continue to work towards maintaining a cleaner and healthier environment.
We therefore encourage you to verify your information before publishing, rather than relying on outdated content that could give a misleading impression of the current situation or unnecessarily project Lagos and Nigeria in a negative light.
Constructive criticism is welcome, but it is most effective when it is based on accurate and verifiable information.
Cheers!
I naturally get exhausted by the display of a lack of objectivity and intelligence on so many national issues. Is it that we as Nigerians cannot keep quiet when we lack knowledge about something?
Is it that our egos are so inflated that an obviously superior argument gets ignored?
After several warnings and abatement notices, the Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO), on Thursday 7th May, 2026, sealed-off Pinnock Beach Estate, Osapa London, Lekki, Lagos, over deliberate discharge of untreated sewage via pumping machine into the canal causing environmental nuisance, offensive odour, as well as endangering human health and aquatic life.
The agency also sealed off a property located at No. 28 Amodu Street, Itire, Surulere after verified residents complaints of continuous discharge of raw sewage into a neighboring compound and public drains. This act constitutes a serious health and environmental hazard.
Other properties sealed during today’s enforcement are;
• A property at Oladipo Dumoye Street, Mashy Hill Estate, Ado Road, Ajah, Eti-Osa, Lagos, over deliberate discharge of untreated sewage into the public drains, causing environmental nuisance, drainage blockage, pollution as well as endangering human health.
• Vintage Heights Estate, Ojulari Street, Elegushi, Lekki, Eti-Osa, Lagos, over deliberate discharge of untreated sewage into the public drains via pumping machine and raw sewage into the environment, causing environmental nuisance, drainage blockage, pollution as well as endangering human health.
Lagos State government reiterates the need for residents and property managers to adhere strictly to proper wastewater management practices, noting that any individual or organisation found contravening environmental regulations will be meted with appropriate sanctions and possible prosecution in accordance with the enabling laws.
