Rumor has it our new boat patrol is out on Geneva Lake fishing & grilling all day. Not quite. Last weekend, officers assisted kayakers in distress after capsizing. We’re out there for a reason: Dedication. Service. Enforcement. (And no, we’re not catching fish—just calls.)
E‑bikes are legal in Lake Geneva and follow WI bike laws. No license, registration, or insurance needed. Ride on streets, but no sidewalks in downtown or some lakefront/parks. Class 1–2: 20 mph; Class 3: 28 mph (16+). Follow signs, yield, and ride safe.

What does “Road Closed to Thru Traffic” mean in Wisconsin? If you’re only cutting through, stay out and follow the detour. If you need to get to a home or business inside the work zone, you may go in carefully and only as far as your destination.
Honoring those lost in the line of duty during National Police Week. Grateful for the dedication, professionalism, and resilience of the City of Lake Geneva Police Department and their families. Stay safe. -Chief Gritzner
