Massachusetts' highest court has blocked the city of Quincy from installing two 10-foot statues of St. Michael the Archangel, the patron saint of police officers, and St. Florian, the patron saint of firefighters, outside its new public safety headquarters.
The city says the statues were chosen to honor the courage and sacrifice of police and firefighters, but the ACLU and other far-left groups sued, arguing that displaying Catholic figures outside a government building violates the state constitution's requirement for religious neutrality. The ruling is preliminary, and Quincy says it will continue fighting the case.
The statues were made by a sculptor in Italy and selected by Quincy Mayor Thomas Koch.
My reaction to Ortiz “roasting” me by posting a video of me shirtless at 18 years old and breaking journalism ethics by getting personally involved in his story.
Yeah the screenshot was orchestrated but everything else was accurate. Including this video of Lance Johnston dancing shirtless for men on Cameo for $2.99.
@eagleeye2805@CurrentRevolt I’m sure you never did anything slightly embarrassing when you were a kid.
You were a perfect teenager and young adult that never messed up.
Dude I was 18 and I regularly posted shirtless things at the beach and shit.
This is nothing.
