Peyton Houston was the first commit in #LSU’s 2027 class.
Now, he’s working to keep Louisiana’s top talent home.
“Being able to bring top guys to the LSU brand and get them to the school means a lot,” Houston told @Geaux247

Lane Kiffin is one of the most controversial and fiercely hated coaches in college football, following his shocking departure from Ole Miss for a $91 million contract at LSU. “No coach I talked to at any point ever said, ‘stay there.’” Kiffin says. “You got one life” https://t.co/kNueefe5qK
Happy Mother’s Day to a lady who has devoted her life to 7 humans with to many personalities, weird appetites and birthdays that seem to last year long. We love you ❤️
We first met our friend @LauraRutledge over a decade ago as she was establishing a name for herself in the world of sports broadcasting. With a degree in journalism from the University of Florida and experience as a radio host, she had graciously agreed to read a quick voiceover for an early Blue Delta ad. She nailed it on the first take, without any preparation. In that moment, we witnessed her raw talent and it was undeniable. Though she probably thought of it as a small favor at the time, it meant the world to our young brand. Fast forward to 2026 - Laura is a widely recognized broadcast journalist and has been a prominent host for ESPN, ABC, and the SEC Network. She remains a central figure for ESPN's major event coverage, including the Masters and the NFL, and has become a fashion influencer while doing so. Her resume is endless and her list of accolades is impressive. But by far her biggest achievement is being a mom to her two children, Reese and Jack.
As most parents managing careers and young children can relate, Laura and her husband, Josh, lead very busy lives. And it’s not surprising that a love of sports plays a big role in their family. Josh played in the MLB from 2012 to 2017 for the Colorado Rockies and the Boston Red Sox, and both kids have appeared regularly on their own SEC Nation segment “Reese’s Picks.”
“They are so used to seeing me on tv every day that I think it’s just totally normal for them,” says Laura, who can already see the natural athleticism in her daughter and looks forward to watching football games alongside her family. On the sidelines paired with heels and a microphone or in her backyard grilling Reese’s favorite meal in a t-shirt, it’s likely you’ll find Laura wearing her jeans. With a total of 11 pairs to date, she says Blue Delta Jeans are always her most favorite staple. “They’re so stylish, so comfortable, and so versatile.” Versatility, style, and comfort - perfect for any mother.
We may all see Laura covering just about every major sporting event there is these days, but her children view her in an even greater light. “Working for Disney means there is a built in “mom flex” of getting to take my kids to Disney World often. They don’t care about me being on tv at all, which I love, but they do think I know Mickey Mouse!” She’s a superhero in her children’s eyes, and though not all superheroes wear capes, she does wear blue jeans.
Happy Mother’s Day from the Blue Delta family!

Ahmad Hudson committed to @Lane_Kiffin and #LSU just six days ago.
And he’s already getting to work:
“I’m going to try my hardest to get us the No. 1 class because we need to get back to that 2019 team where we’re in the national championship.

"...Under RBs Coach / Running Game Coordinator @KevinSmithRB, Ole Miss Rushing Offenses averaged 175-256 yards per game over 5 seasons w/ Head Coach Lane Kiffin in Oxford.
Also, in 4 of his 5 seasons in Mississippi, Smith coached RB rooms that featured 2 and even 3 different backs who clocked 500+ yards each (4 total players hit that mark in 2021 alone), 3 seasons starting a RB who led the SEC in yards, TDs or both (Quindshon Judkins x2 & Kewan Lacy last fall), multiple years w/ 1,000 yard rushers.....but here's something WILD, too:
Illustrating the strength of Kiffin's rushing attack regardless of RBs coach, in 2022 without Smith (he went to Miami that year after 1 season with Kiffin at Ole Miss), the Rebels nearly had TWO different 1,000 yard rushers: Quinshon Judkins racking up an SEC-leading 1,567 yards from an SEC leading 274 carries, for a conference-leading 16 rushing TDs, while Zach Evans busted his nut for 936 yards as well, leading the SEC with 6.5 yards per carry...."
INSIDE THE PRISM OF RUSHING PAIN: Behind The Lane Kiffin / Kevin Smith Axis of Ground Game Devastation That SHOULD Turn Around #LSU's Poor Recent Running Game History
