10,000 at NODE Foundation has been an incredibly special experience for us.
From the beginning, CryptoPunks was an experiment in digital value and ownership - a new kind of networked art and protocol. CryptoPunks has been shaped over time by the people who hold it, trade it, argue about it, and build culture around it. This exhibition is our clearest attempt to present this thesis in material form and physical space.
We’re deeply grateful to @mickymalka and Becky Kleiner for building a home for CryptoPunks and a space capable of supporting work like this, and for @redbeardnft for facilitating this opportunity with @nodefnd. Thank you @asacurates, @philmohun, @loudsqueakmedia, @q2design, @yungwknd for your curation, creativity, and skills in bringing our nerdiest of visions to life. And of course to @naughtaliestone who worked closely with us to develop the exhibition and bring this all together.
We’re excited for everyone to see it, especially the CryptoPunks community, whose passion for the work has carried this project far beyond anything we could have imagined.
— Matt Hall & John Watkinson (Larva Labs)
In May 2021, twenty thousand generative sculptures launched into the world, each a fully rigged 3D file ready to be rendered, animated, and built upon.
We’ve always loved that Meebits can be visualized in so many ways over a variety of media. Five years on, we’re adding one more way: plotter files for every Meebit, each a set of vector drawing instructions for print or screen.
Signed prints from us will be available through @meebitsnfts.
Happy Birthday, Meebits!
This essay by @NaughtalieStone nails the distinction between art simply owned on a network, compared to art that needs and uses the network as a medium. Feels like we're just at the start of the latter.

We've known @destroytoday for a while now, and we even shared an office with him when we created the @cryptopunks. So we were super excited that he was available to help us explain what's special about Quine through his specific animation and web talents. This writeup is also a great introduction to Quine in general!
We’re honored and thrilled that @MuseumModernArt has collected eight CryptoPunks through donations from @ArtOnBlockchain and his wife Mara, @CozomoMedici, @judithESSS, @kukulabanze, @NTmoney, and @Rhyd0n, along with two Punks of our own.
It’s genuinely surreal to see our work enter the collection of our hometown museum, and we’re grateful to MoMA for welcoming these works into their care.
Thank you to these members of the Punks community for their generosity and long-term belief in the work, and to @1OF1_art for their tireless effort in helping organize and steward this donation. Moments like this reflect the collective commitment that has carried CryptoPunks forward from the beginning.
A warm congratulations as well to @ArtOnBlockchain and the Chromie Squiggles collectors on their inclusion in the MoMA collection.
CryptoPunks, welcome to the @MuseumModernArt collection!
Punk 4018, Punk 2786, Punk 5616, Punk 5160, Punk 3407, Punk 7178, Punk 74, and Punk 7899 have found a permanent home at MoMA, where they’ll be preserved and cared for as part of the museum’s history.
The collective generosity behind this gift highlights the strength and spirit of the Punk’s community whom has carried the project forward.
This historic donation was made possible by @ArtOnBlockchain and Mara Calderon, @CozomoMedici, @judithESSS, @NTmoney, @kukulabanze, and @Rhyd0n. @larvalabs also contributed Punks from their personal collection as part of their long-term commitment to the work.
We’re proud to see that shared stewardship reflected at MoMA.
With thanks to @1OF1_art for helping shepherd this acquisition forward.

Zero10 at @artbasel Miami Beach offered a rare chance to step back and see the momentum behind this era of digital art with real clarity. The works on view - including generative systems, code-based pieces, AI explorations, and new media installations - showed a medium confidently taking another step forward.
Once just experiments, presenting our work in this environment and seeing it resonate with new audiences meant a great deal to us. To the collectors who have supported our work and the work of so many artists represented this week, thank you. Your early belief in code-driven art helped make breakthrough moments like this possible.
We are also deeply grateful to the @artblocks_io team, for their role shaping the trajectory of on-chain generative art but for inviting us to contribute to that lineage as the closing project of the Curated chapter. Your long-standing commitment to elevating code-based art is unquestionable, and working with you to bring Quine to life has been a true joy.
Congrats to the fellow artists, platforms, and galleries who contributed to Zero10. And a special thanks to @eli_schein and @redbeardnft for their support, and to @naughtaliestone for being the woman on the ground for this endeavor.
For us, just two guys working on computers who have long been exploring code as an artistic material, the week reaffirmed many things. Namely, that the medium continues to evolve and continues on a trajectory that would have been impossible to imagine a few short years ago, but now seems inevitable.
Art Blocks is presenting at @artbasel for the first time.
We're one of 12 exhibitors selected for Zero 10, Art Basel's new platform for digital art launching December 3-7, featuring Quine by @LarvaLabs.
Quine is the final Art Blocks Curated project, where the code is not just the medium, but the subject. Each piece reveals its source code as part of the artwork; the instructions and the visual output are one and the same.
Larva selected 10 Quines from their collection of artist proofs, which will be shown as signed, framed works, and available for sale. In addition, all 497 works will be on display.
Zero 10 is 10,000 sq ft on the main floor alongside Pace Gallery and Beeple Studios and others. We applaud Art Basel's commitment to digital art.
If you're in Miami Dec 3-7, come find us at BOOTH Z2
We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing work done by the entire @artblocks_io team to present Quine so elegantly and execute so flawlessly today. A special thanks to @ArtOnBlockchain for making this collab happen and for all the tireless work he does in this space. What a cool, full-circle moment it is doing this with you!
Thank you to @shillrxyz for their support on marketing.
Thanks to @destroytoday for the awesome Quine animations.
And thank you to @NaughtalieStone who was instrumental in so many of the things that made this project what it is.
We are thrilled that this project has helped support @nodefnd's mission to promote and present digital art.
Finally, thank you to our collectors for such a wonderful reception to something that we thought might be a bit too nerdy, but turned out to be just nerdy enough!

We are proud to announce that 25% of our proceeds for Quine will be donated to @nodefnd and their mission of supporting the continued stewardship of CryptoPunks and the broader digital art space.
We are honored to conclude the Art Blocks’ Curated series with our project Quine.

We've been deeply grateful to see CryptoPunks presented in museums, books, and exhibitions over the years. This project has exceeded our wildest expectations.
And yet, there is a part of the Punks story that has never been fully told in an installation context. When we created CryptoPunks, we built them as a living onchain experiment, meant to be traded, owned, and evolved.
We're thrilled to be working hand in hand with @nodefnd to show all 10,000 as they were meant to be seen. See you in January!

Thrilled to share that @pents90 and @matthall2000 of Larva Labs have joined MeebCo as strategic advisors. As the creators of Meebits, this ensures we honor and build on their legacy. Their vision shaped our foundation and together we'll carry it forward into an ambitious future.
The CryptoPunks are completely and truly decentralized, created outside the bounds of traditional company or even artist control. Because of this, the Punks’ impact and reach come from a new series of online network effects among its creators, owners, and fans. The NODE foundation adds a new entry in that list, a digital art institution dedicated to the education and advancement of this new kind of art. We believe @nodefnd, and its non-profit long term focus, to be the perfect home for the Punks’ promotion and protection. Therefore, we’re delighted to be joining the board of NODE and will be working directly to assist on a number of upcoming projects to properly showcase what makes the Punks so unique. We would also like to thank @yugalabs and especially @NaughtalieStone for their careful stewardship of the project for the past few years, we look forward to working with you on this foundation together.
The Infinite Node Foundation (NODE) is pleased to announce the acquisition of the intellectual property of @cryptopunks from @yugalabs.
Launched by Larva Labs in 2017, CryptoPunks are widely regarded as the catalyst for the modern digital art movement. Their $3.07B in sales have established Matt Hall and John Watkinson as the highest-selling living artists of our time.
The pioneering collection of 10,000 unique, algorithmically generated pixel art characters now lives within the most well-capitalized nonprofit dedicated solely to digital art in the United States.
Formed in 2025 by Micky Malka and Becky Kleiner, NODE’s purchase of the the IP and additional $25M endowment outpaces the digital art funding of all major U.S. institutions. NODE exists to build networked architecture for digital works like CryptoPunks to be studied, exhibited, and contextualized within the art-historical canon.
This transition isn’t about ownership, but liberation. Freed from corporate friction and limitations, the Punk ethos can now thrive through a decentralized, community-driven future.
To guide this journey, NODE has assembled a Punks advisory board led by Matt Hall and John Watkinson (Larva Labs) along with visionary voices in the project’s history, Wylie Aronow (Yuga Labs), and Erick Calderon (Art Blocks). In addition, we are happy to share that we will be enlisting Natalie Stone as a consultant to support the NODE team during this transition.
This vision begins with a major exhibition of the full 10K collection, to debut alongside the opening of NODE’s permanent hub and exhibition space in Palo Alto. Here, NODE will host a full Ethereum node to contribute towards the permanence of the works housed within.
Under our stewardship, CryptoPunks will remain as the artists intended, while continuing to stand as the defining collection of this century’s defining art movement.
Thank you to all who have been a part of the Punks journey. Our new chapter together begins now.
We're thrilled to add SuperPunk #198 by Nina Chanel Abney and CryptoPunk #9833 to our growing digital art collection. Learn about the works and artists 👇(1/3)
