As posted on CanadaBuys and reported by True North Strategic Review, Last has been awarded a Supply Arrangement by the Defence Investment Agency (DIA) on behalf of the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

This Supply Arrangement installs Last in a pre-qualified supplier pool for Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems (UxS) and counter-UxS capabilities.

We thank the DIA, our intrepid team, and all of our supporters and boosters who have helped us achieve this important milestone in our organization's history. We stand ready to provide Canada and her service members with leading-edge operational capabilities, through advanced R&D and manufacturing, for today's and tomorrow's missions.

The Last team had the privilege of attending activities and exercises at 🇨🇦 CFB Valcartier this week. Thanks to the CAF members who were part of these exercises and whom we had the great opportunity to watch, meet and speak with. Particular thanks to the 12e Régiment blindé du Canada, the 35 Canadian Brigade - Arctic Response Company Group (ARGC) and The Canadian Rangers for their time, expertise, and insight.

Direct dialogue with soldiers is the only way to discover the true challenges, obstacles and constraints at the edge.

Thanks to Nancy Paish and the Red Deer Regional Airport for inviting us out to the Red Deer Regional Airshow. It was a great day for us to be back at the Airport and see the facilities from a different vantage point as we deepen our understanding of the expansion and development plans in and around YQF. A day of excitement for everyone - there’s nothing like getting buzzed by a CF-18 Hornet to get a sense of the true power, scale of engineering, and skill of the pilots behind these systems.

Last was at @NSCCIvany yesterday to share more about our company and learn about NSCC’s Applied Research and Workforce Development programs, among others.

Nova Scotia and the NSCC community have such a rich resource of energy and talent and we aspire to provide a place where students, grads and those already working in industry can come and be supported to do some of the most engaging and rewarding work of their careers, at the edge of uncrewed and autonomous systems.

Speaking of energy, thanks to Cole Gregory and Benjamin Nickerson for showing us around the Energy Lab and talking about some of the fantastic things they’ve built and what they’re working on. When the 8 foot tall robot greets you at the door - don’t be alarmed.

Sincere thanks to Dwayne MacLeod, Joanne Firth and Matt Adams for hosting us, for a great discussion, and for kicking off what we are sure will be a fruitful and mutually beneficial partnership.

We agree. That’s why Last is developing domestic production capacity for multi-modal uncrewed systems now, for Canada and her allies.

Canada has chosen @thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) for the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project - the largest defence procurement in our country's history, and a multi-decade commitment that will reshape shipbuilding, sustainment, and defence innovation in Nova Scotia.

This is bigger than twelve submarines. It means jobs, apprenticeships, R&D partnerships, and a generational strengthening of the Atlantic defence supply chain - anchored right here in Halifax, Canada's Defence City and home of the Royal Canadian Navy's submarine sustainment capability.

At Last, we build multi-domain uncrewed systems - air, ground, surface, and subsurface - and manufacture them in Dartmouth, minutes from the Dockyard. The future submarine fleet will operate alongside uncrewed underwater and surface systems, and the ecosystem that sustains it will need sovereign Canadian manufacturing, secure supply chains, and interoperable command and control. That is exactly what we are building.

We are hiring, we are investing in Nova Scotia, and we are ready to work with TKMS, the @RoyalCanNavy, and the primes and partners who will deliver this program - as part of a supply chain that gets built at home.

Congratulations to everyone who brought this milestone to Halifax. The next chapter of Canadian naval capability starts here, and we are proud to be part of what comes next.

Our first FPV UAV prototypes are packed and headed for Calgary.

There’s something fitting about hand-delivering them. Before these drones get in the air, they’re making the trip the old-fashioned way - carried by the same team building them and building the relationships behind them.

Alberta has always rewarded showing up in person, shaking hands, and earning trust face to face. That’s exactly why we’re heading to Stampede. 🤠
