California startup Satyress has shown off Threehalves, a 2-meter-tall centaur-style robot built intended for disaster response and search-and-rescue operations
The robot is designed for jobs like searching collapsed buildings and working around wildfires, and is controlled remotely by a human operator.
It walks on four legs to handle chainsaws and drills, and also has built-in safety systems that can stop and lock it in place if something goes wrong.
