This is the first feature I didn’t finance myself.

But I only landed financing because I had just made a different movie for $0 with no crew.

Sometimes we resist making micro-budget features because the numbers don’t make sense on paper.

But a micro-budget film is not just an investment in one project.

It’s an investment in your entire body of work, which is what helps you land you the next one, and the one after that.

That’s why I’m such a fan of DIY filmmaking.

Teacher’s Pet is out today and in the spirit of promoting tiny indie films that don’t get marketing love, here is what I’m gonna do.

Anyone who shares a screenshot showing they’ve bought or rented the film, I’ll record a short, personal video highlighting a favorite mustache in film/TV this weekend.

Today, our tiny micro-budget feature just got released on every major platform.

It was shot in 12 days with a skeleton crew.

No camera team, other an awesome 1st AC.

No lighting, except for a single LED panel or tube light used to key some closeups.

No casting director, despite us landing some
of the best actors I’ve worked with to date.

No script supervisor, but we still shot up to 14 pages in a single day.

You don’t need every resource to make your film, you just need to be resourceful with what little you do have.
