Lovely authors going to bookshops and asking to sign here are my top tips as an author and ex-bookseller.
1. If it’s a Waterstones, you can use the click & collect feature to find out which shops have actual stock in.

How has it taken me twenty years to realize that my daily word count goal and the word count I need per day to finish a book cannot be the same number? The first one needs to be significantly higher than the second or I will wind up behind schedule and miserable and frantic. OH.
