Woezɔ! This platform is to promote the learning, speaking, reading, and writing of the Eʋe language in the Volta Region of 🇬🇭, some parts of 🇹🇬 🇧🇯 🇳🇬.

We don’t subscribe to the narrative that Eʋe is dying. We believe it’s thriving, and with intentional teaching, daily use, and cultural pride, the next generation will speak it even more confidently.

That’s why @Learn_Ewe and other platforms exists to promote it.

A young lady has expressed concern over the future of the Ewe language, saying she fears it may no longer be spoken by the younger generation in the next 50 years.

According to her, many young Ewes are unwilling to speak their native language and are not proud of their cultural identity. She noted that it is the responsibility of the younger generation to preserve and pass on their language and traditions.
