Take away for me is to have a patient centered discussion of options and if patient selects surgery, they should find a high volume surgeon/center with proven results. Same for CAS. Work in multi-skill set teams. We all should continue to monitor & report our results VQI etc

Seemingly relatively high surgical stroke rate day 0-44 @ 1.5%. Anecdotally, I don’t see a .5% year ipsi stroke rate after CEA. No doubt that medical therapy has improved as have CAS & neuro protection and all will continue to improve. CREST2 underscores what we already know…
