@KevvyJ63 That’s not what Boro are arguing. They aren’t blaming Southampton for ruining their promotion chances single handedly, just that they cheated and it needs to be addressed regardless of the punishment.
@BoroMundo This is very much a rumour, but, what I heard is that he was having heavy off days, doing balloons, drinking etc and had an entitled attitude. Very much a rumour that was circulating though with no confirmed sources.
@C__Overfield@Boro@Boropolis I don’t think it’s fair to blame Hellberg. We had 18 shots to their 2 today, 10 on target to their 1. It’s a complete lack of finishing ability from players. If that doesn’t let us down it’s bad decisions in the final third or a shit final ball.
@iagogod@Boro You say it’s the biggest implosion, but, we always turn to mince at this point every year, we’re just usually not throwing this much away in the process, we’re usually just missing playoffs or bottling playoff security etc.
It’s a character trait of Boro.
@DciRoberts@SouthShieldsFC It would be fucking mint to be able to always give our youth prospects plenty of game time, but surely you can understand how in the championship fighting to go up that’s not exactly feasible except in the cups.
@DciRoberts@SouthShieldsFC We fans always say things like this when promising youth players leave and neglect the fact that everyone at the football club is a professional in the football world and absolutely know better than we do. It’d be smart for us to trust that ultimately.
@studdy2k He’s fucking mint man. Yeah sometimes he makes mistakes and makes risky passes, people forget we’re in the championship, if the players were perfect they’d be in the premier league. Only the elite of the elite never make mistakes.
@cylodeman@gusfringldn Salah has been selfish since joining Liverpool, that’s what selfishness looks like. Saka isn’t perfect but his mentality is for the team and result before anything, not himself.
No player is truly selfless but the ego/focus is different.
@gusfringldn I see people comparing him to Salah like they’re even remotely similar players 😂.
They’re both amazing, Salah is a wide forward, Saka is an inverted winger or playmaker. Both amazing for different reasons. Use your eyes not numbers. Quality can’t always be quantified by stats.
@ZubyMusic What is anyone supposed to do as an individual? The options are what they are generally, the choice, as South Park once said tends to be between a huge douche and a shit sandwich.
Indie parties should win more often (I’m UK) but won’t, you can’t flip X’mil people instantly.
@MilesBrighton@jayxbt2012@SkyNews@haynesdeborah There is a difference between technology innovators (mine and few others phone is British btw), music/general artists, and politicians. “Elites” generally refers to bankers, manipulative businesspeople & politicians. It’s not generally a blanket term for “the rich people”.
@Rowley_13 @minitike_lfc @CounterPressers My argument was also against HE and AI ending up “better” than Firmino. Bobby wasn’t a striker but he fit the role so well that he was beyond that. I just think better is the wrong word.
@Rowley_13 @minitike_lfc @CounterPressers Also, you’re right, you’ve had some of the best and also my favourite strikers over the years, in my lifetime, it was never the difference between Liverpool and trophies, maybe something to think about 🤷🏻♂️
@Rowley_13 @minitike_lfc @CounterPressers Cost doesn’t necessarily equal quality. Firmino was the perfect player at the perfect time tactically. I’m a Boro fan, Akpom was useless before MC, Carrick came in, role change and 29 goals. He was pennies, it’s all about roles and styles.
@Rowley_13 @minitike_lfc @CounterPressers Firmino wasn’t an actual “striker” though. He was a false 9 which basically made him a 10, and, he played that way, Salah and Mane were the true forwards. He got goals but his build up involvement was where his quality truly shone.
@theRunAgain@fcbharrison He was a playmaker for PSG sitting deeper and dictating play, he wasn’t an out and out attacker. You have to analyse that role with different stats, G/A isn’t king in that role, progressive passes, carries, key passes expected assists, pass completion, possession won/lost etc.
