“Exactly three weeks ago, and it’s such a blessing to recount, a great wonder of God, three weeks ago while we were on our 7am morning prayers.
And, just in between the prayers, I heard the Spirit of God say to me, that there is someone that is beside a dead woman.”
I wouldn’t know if AFL have plans in the future to address the waters he is stirring with his declassified podcast, but you should not as an Apostle invite people to defend their ideologies and even affirming it with them without bringing an Apostolic perspective.
You give people platforms you primarily built through your Christian identity, those same people leave your platform with more visibility and wider voice to promote their ideologies among Believers, some of which are babies in Christ still forming their doctrines and theology.
Those against the gospel are now proclaiming territorial win as they believe their ideas and perspectives about the practice of our faith is now being accepted by the body of Believers.
By the time you are ready to address the issues (as you did not do it as at the time it was raised), many are already led astray and indoctrinated into the enemy’s camp.
Christian feminist but she's against abortion. Christian feminist that understands the import of 'imago dei'. Christian feminist that understands what it means for husbands to be the head. Sorry, but you are not are not a feminist. You are just a woman right activist.
@orzgard Thankfully, care can still be provided in other ways which do not necessitate providing bodily support. Because God forbid the woman is unable to produce milk, perhaps we will say that such a woman has failed in her legal duty to care for a child.
Even if we ascribe personhood to a fetus, the harder question is whether the law should require a person to use their body to sustain another life.
We don’t legally compel blood donation to save lives so why should a person be legally compelled to sustain the life of another?
I don't think so. If the undergirding philosophy behind anti-abortion is that the fetus is a person, that would make aborting a fetus tantamount to taking a human life and therefore, a crime.
@oadefisayo@EmeritusTolu Your line of reasoning is so inconsistent, I’m a bit embarrassed to continue this conversation lol, at least the other person had a somewhat reasonable counter, and I could respect that. This one is just hilarious
I really like the church’s theme for this month, super excited about it. Thankful for this newfound excitement to delve more and more into scripture >>>
Is there a national Programme aimed at supporting or rehabilitating kidnap victims? No. But there’s one for terrorists.
See, nigeria is not a serious country.
We do not often talk enough about the psychological trauma carried by victims of kidnapping.
Some months ago, I met a Catholic priest who had just been released after spending more than a month in captivity. Physically, he was free. But emotionally and psychologically, the experience was still haunting him.
You could not make sudden loud noises around him. Every sharp sound startled him because, to his mind, it felt like gunfire all over again. Fear had settled deeply into his nervous system. At the time, he was already undergoing therapy to help him recover from the trauma.
Sometimes, when we discuss kidnapping, we focus only on the period of captivity and ransom. But many victims continue suffering long after they regain their freedom. Some return home alive, yet deeply wounded within.
This is why insecurity is not just a political issue. It is also a human and psychological crisis.
@Kyn_Okk@Prosper_Ihechi A parent has a legal duty to ensure a child is fed, but not necessarily to use their own body to do so. A mother isn't legally required to breastfeed if other means of feeding the child exist e.g., formula, wet nurse etc. That's why the bodily autonomy question remains relevant.
@oadefisayo@EmeritusTolu You're changing the argument. No one is saying that burdensome people should be killed. It's that a right to life doesn't automatically create a right to use another's body. Pregnancy raises different questions from caring for a born child. Care can be transferred to a caregiver.
But the argument isn’t even about the morality of it because if you read the original tweet, you’d see we’re all aligned on believing it is morally wrong lol
