@A_GymGuy Saw this and could feel him barely keeping his composure ๐ญ. What a lovely gesture from Rute.
Random side note: someone send a dermatologist to the Scottish national team camp ASAP because they're literally cooked from the sun ๐
Worst part about the World Cup so far:
-Americans and Brits arguing about whose stadia are better
Best part about the World Cup so far:
-German guy discovering Waffle House for the first time
@A_GymGuy The hype will be more localized at the WC city venues, but besides the England game (sorry lol) the friendlies have had awesome turnout. The standout so far being the USA-Germany match in Chicago. But tbh Chicago is one of my favorite cities - 3rd largest in the US.
@hashtone1@AnfieldSector If you are born to a US citizen then you are a US citizen upon birth. Pretty much true under citizenship laws for any country. Doesn't matter about the other parent. I have a Canadian citizenship through my mom for the same reason even though I wasn't born or raised there.
@hashtone1@AnfieldSector His dad was not born in the US, but grew up in New York and became a citizen through long-term residency. Antonee therefore holds dual UK/US citizenship through his dad. My mom was born in Canda but moved to the US when she was 2 yo. She became a naturalized US citizen.
@DougieCritchley There are A LOT of things wrong with this WC, but also a lot of misinformation being spread online. These friendlies are arranged by the FAs and not being played at WC venues. The FAs could have used real MLS stadiums, but want bigger venues for more ๐ฐ.
My sister's friend is selling "discounted" WC tickets for Ecuador vs Cote Dโivoire at $750 and Ghana vs Croatia at $500 (a piece). And they sre not great seats at all.
That's a college tuition payment. But, you know, it's totally "the people's game" right?
@A_GymGuy On a free and for squad depth? I'm in! And he can actually communicate with the manager now ๐. But think he's a player that needs more Spanish speakers in the team for personal support, and Macca is probably leaving. May want to play more than a supporting role too.
Given the current climate and temperament of LFC fandom right now, can't think of a more perfect statement he could have put out. Kudos and good luck! YNWA
