Remembering the brilliant composer #AlvinLucier (1931–2021) and his sound installation for framed paper, speaker, and oscillator “Sound on Paper” (1985) here seen at documenta14.
@Ogilvie_CJ @seatsixtyone@a_gossweiler Yikes, I didn’t realize that was a requirement these days! What a bummer. Never used a Trenitalia lounge myself but I distinctly recall them promoting lounge passes when buying Frecce tickets.
@Ogilvie_CJ @seatsixtyone@a_gossweiler Did you check a “request invoice” option or similar? If so, that’s why they want a VAT number as invoices in Italy are effectively only made/exchanged between companies (and you should still get an email receipt for any purchase made)
This morning the New York Times published my guest essay about my research on elevators in North America: why we have so few of them, why they cost so much, what that does to our buildings, and how we can fix it https://t.co/eeHL7uCCse
@north0fnorth Some records that got me into musicians/bands I love:
• A. R. Kane “i”
• Arthur Russell “Another Thought”
• The Durutti Column “The Return of The Durutti Column”
And as someone that got into music via rock/punk, Glenn Branca’s “Lesson No. 1” opened up a whole world for me.

@brdrck As for chairs I’m quite happy with the Herman Miller Sayl, the design isn’t for everyone but it’s less of an eyesore than most ergonomic desk chairs
@endocrimes I was in the same situation a few months ago and got the Smith Signal MIPS helmet, very happy with it for the price point and not-too-racy look. I also read that MIPS is a good feature to have for safety so I would definitely recommend it! https://t.co/1waSI6pMwD
@MauriceMeilleur We’re quite happy with the OtterBox Symmetry Series 360 Elite Case for our latest-gen 11” iPad Pro. We don’t have an Apple Pencil but the dedicated slide-out slot fits the Adonit Mark stylus snugly and it’s never felt unsafe. It’s perfect for our occasional use of a stylus.
