The #Proteus Technology Demonstrator, designed and built by Leonardo in Yeovil, is helping define how large autonomous Vertical Take Off and Landing uncrewed aircraft systems can work alongside crewed platforms.
Developed in partnership with the @RoyalNavy
and Defence Equipment & Support, it represents a major step forward in autonomous maritime aviation. Equipped with advanced onboard software and sensors, Proteus is designed to sense, decide and act in demanding maritime environments, supporting future missions such as logistics, surveillance and anti-submarine warfare.

#FalconShield is a rapidly deployable, scalable and modular Counter Uncrewed Air System designed to address the threat from low, slow and small uncrewed air systems. It is an operationally proven capability that has been used to protect military bases, critical infrastructure and high-profile events.
At the heart of the UK military response is ORCUS, the military version of Falcon Shield, which has enabled protection of UK defence assets and major public events while supporting work with NATO partners.

#Leonardo has been awarded a £27 million Aircraft Consumables Commodities contract by @DefenceHQ, securing the supply of essential spares across the UK’s fixed wing and rotary wing fleet.
Covering around 11,000 @NATO stock numbers and supporting the UK MOD’s entire fixed-wing and rotary fleet – including platforms such as Typhoon, Apache, Chinook, A400M and C-17 – the contract will enhance long term resilience and readiness across Defence aviation. With responsibility for forecasting, procurement and obsolescence management, Leonardo will help ensure critical aircraft remain operational, including those deployed on live operations.
