Q: Is the MCSD increasing the amount of cleaning within the schools?

A: MCSD will follow CDC Guidelines for Cleaning and Disinfecting the Schools. Each school will have additional custodian services while school is in session to increase daily sanitation of all frequently

Q: Will my child be provided with bus transportation this school year?

A: Bus transportation will be provided to all students that qualify. All students will be required to wear mask/face protection while on the bus.

This means that if you choose to send your child to in-person schooling this fall, your child will be required to wear a mask/face protection unless a medical note is submitted from your health care provider and your child’s IEP/504 team has determined the mask is not required.

In addition, decorations should not directly impact a student’s line of sight as this could be a potential safety hazard.

Q: Since my elementary child would have their own face shield, would they be permitted to decorate it?

A: Yes. Students may personalize and decorate their face shields. Any decorations that are placed on face shields must conform to the student and parent handbook.

Q: Will there be times that my child can remove their mask?
A: Students may remove their masks when at a classroom work desk or work station and maintaining 6 ft of social distance, when eating or drinking, and when outside of the school while maintaining 6 ft of social distance

Q: Is my child required to wear a mask?
A: The Governor’s Office and PA DOH have mandated that all students will be required to wear masks/face protection in schools if they cannot maintain 6 feet of social distance.
