@conroy_david@JeremyCom Where’s the evidence of strategy? Strategy is coordinated. There must have been campaign literature / statements from Raman asking voters to be strategic.
IF CLAUDE/AI IS SO USEFUL, WHY ARENT PNLS GOING UP?
I just made an important point on the @smbcapital call. You can’t go a day without reading tweets about traders using Claude. For 6 months now, Claude has been the talk of many trader calls. Yet from what I’ve seen, it’s not translating to pnl for most traders.
Why?
Because almost always, more data and information is NOT the constraint. The traders that outperformed in April did so because of their systems and execution.
It isn’t that Claude and AI shouldn’t be used or isn’t at all useful. But AI and Claude can become a distraction AWAY from the actions and changes that actually matter and translate into PNL.
If I were a betting man, Claude might have improved workflows for traders, but net, it has probably reduced trader pnl through distraction away from what matters.
Europe Shallow offshore oil is nearly the cheapest oil to produce. Production that would solve some of the UK’s financial problems. Yet it lies in the seabed.
Nvidia stock has been quietly outperforming like crazy recently and no one is talking about it (except me). Yes, my friends fundamentals win over time and podshops are the worst (post-earnings reactions).
I’m 17 years or more late to this realisation. But… it dawned on me yesterday quite acutely that giving central banks a financial stability and macro prudential mandate was actually a grave error and is partly responsible for the breakdown of the entire independent central banking model. I very much under appreciated these political economy implications at the time.

I got sick of waiting for BOM to publish the 2025 multidecadal rainfall update, so I pulled the data and wrote my own script.
