OK, I did a threads as well. But I can't find any of my Twitter followers/ees.
Due to technical issues I'm there as "PequenoPortugal."
If you can work out how to find people that aren't Shakira (which I currently can't) then I'll see you there!
@notsouniquename@Channel4News Yeah, he maps the sources and reach of disinformation in order to track its flows and how its spread - either organically or with help.
Then he uses really cool software to visualise the results. It's really quite impressive.
@ShowerAbsolute So, they're unintentionally destroying the environment clumsily damaging education in an attempt to deliberately attack social security?
Not convinced such a complex message was needed.
@EmmaBurnell_ It raises an interesting challenge for Starmer. Like, whatever Musk says - which is invariably pretty far right and inflammatory - will get media attention.
He'll be asked about it repeatedly. How does our PM, with relatively little clout, handle Musk attacking our democracy?
@JamesHarrisNow And in a meta-moment the screenplay is a fish-out-of-water story of two ~60 year olds from very different parts of the US putting aside their ostensible differences to unite and save the Country from a proto-Fascist.
Is it really too much to expect a journalist to know the basic propaganda language tool that is colloquially termed "JAQing off."
Incredibly poor from Swarbrick to engage rather than point out why innuendo - what Faridj was engaged in - is bad faith.
So, so poor.
'Do you want to retract the comments and delete that video?'
'No, I want to know the truth.'
Nigel Farage refuses to apologise after he suggested that the Southport attacker was possibly known to police, stating his questions were 'utterly legitimate'.
@TomSwarbrick1
@Ferretgrove How is that GB News guy allowed to tweet that?
Adding a small "stay peaceful" disclaimer at the end doesn't absolve him of responsibility for a clear attempt to incite violence via the imagery and language used in the rest of the tweet.
Utter madness.
@jdportes @Marksharenews @FraserNelson Nice inclusion of the "untalented rappers" dog whistle as well. First time I've noticed it.
I'd also be unsurprised to find much of the Golden Dawn leadership was indeed "house trained" and probably similar to the Reform Ltd leadership in terms of its wealth and backgrounds.
@PolPhilPod Just saw a video of him at the funfair with his daughter. If that's representative then he's every bit as wholesome, nice and - crucially - relatable as I originally thought.
Great pick.
@PolPhilPod Especially when your opponent's campaign is based on pessimism, hatred and fear, having someone that comes across as just plain nice is quite a good contrast.
@peterjukes Goodwin has already been on GB News to use this example to, weirdly, say that ITV doing this is wrong (correct) but that it also (despite being wrong) shows that GB News is correct when it does it with Conservative MPs.
Such a massive and ridiculous mistake by ITV. Baffling.
@JamesDAustin @WikiHowToLogout I'm wary of calling it a cult, but at the same time the level of internal coherence and discipline of the group is very much like the cult in that Simpsons episode.
"Na-na-na-na-na-na-na, Furedi!"
This feels like a GCSE question that would be followed with,
"Elon's assertion is unsupported. Using logic, explain why he can't use the facts in DogeDesigner's tweet to evidence this claim."
