We are so excited to have the glove Grampa Yogi used to catch Don Larsen's Perfect Game in the 1956 World Series on loan from the @baseballhall through December. Come visit the @YogiBerraMuseum to see it and the rest of our new exhibit "If the World Were Perfect."
Now on display, on loan from @baseballhall, is the 1956 Perfect Game Mitt Yogi used to catch all 97 of Don Larsen’s pitches in 1956. Originally donated by Yogi to the Hall, it will be temporarily on display at our Museum to celebrate the 70th anniversary. #Yankees
Grampa Yogi's Perfect Game glove is temporarily on loan to the @YogiBerraMuseum for our new exhibit, "If the World Were Perfect: Celebrating 70 Years of the Perfect Game." Come visit!
Yogi Berra used this mitt, part of the Hall of Fame’s collection, to catch Don Larsen’s perfect game on this date in 1956.
The Game 5 masterpiece led to a Yankees championship and remains the only perfect game in AL/NL postseason history. https://t.co/dFH507FtW5
Grampa Yogi said, "If the world were perfect, it wouldn't be," but #OTD 70 years ago, he and Don Larsen were perfect for the first and only time in World Series history. #ItAintOver 🙏⚾️❤️
I'm just going to leave this here today for anyone who might need to hear it, whether you're applying it to the #Yankees current #postseason situation or to life in general. 🙏⚾️❤️
When I was playing high school softball at @LivSchools, I used to drag bunt all the time. Opposing teams said it was a "cheap" way to get on base. I told Mickey. He said, "Cheap? Who's payin'?" and told me to keep right on runnin'. I remember Grampa Yogi laughing his butt off.
Grampa Yogi was at the Polo Grounds for this game, watching the teams he and the #Yankees might play in the #WorldSeries. But he ALWAYS left early to beat traffic on the George Washington Bridge and heard Thomson's home run unfold on the radio on the ride home. And that's that!
75 Years Ago Today: "The Giants Win The Pennant!" ~ Bobby Thomson’s “Shot Heard ‘Round the World” walk-off HR at the Polo Grounds becomes one of baseball's most memorable moments! (October 3, 1951)

Grampa Yogi and Ted Williams, deep in conversation at the 1960 All-Star Game. What do you think they're talking about? #RedSox#Yankees#wildcard#postseason
As the #RedSox /#Yankees rivalry continues tonight in the #MLB#WildCard, here's Gramp tagging Ted Williams at home plate in 1951. What's amazing to me about this pic is Gramp hasn't even hit the ground yet & he's already looking to make another play behind this one. Heads up!
"It’s just remarkable to me that here’s a guy who was the heart of all of these New York Yankee Championship teams, one of the fiercest competitors in the game and the one word that comes to mind is, sweet.
Yogi was the sweetest man you ever met.
My Dad knew him his entire life, talked at least every two weeks, and he’ll tell you that Yogi was the same guy when he was 5 years old."

There always has been a magic that surrounds Yogi. #OTD in 1946, Lawrence Berra made his #MLB debut for the #Yankees. Also on this day in 2015, we lost Yogi. He always did love to make a date memorable.
Today In 1946: Yogi Berra makes his big league debut with the New York #Yankees at Yankee Stadium! He goes 2-for-4 with a HR and 2 RBI in a 4-3 victory vs. the Philadelphia A's! #MLB#Legend#History#RepBX
