Meanwhile on Chinese TV: "I visited California in the 80s. They were promising high-speed rail. China didn't even have highways."
40 years later, they have built zero. China: biggest high speed rail network.
"The superiority of socialism is clear."
Imperialism, led by the US, has built a military base called Israel over the past 80 years. And they don’t accept the existence of a strong, independent Iran on the eastern border of the false, illegitimate geography of "Greater Israel"—that is, east of the Euphrates River.

🚨 IRGC Launches Missile Strikes on U.S. Bases in Kuwait; Explosions Also Reported in Bahrain and Iraq
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed responsibility for missile strikes on U.S. military bases in Kuwait, saying the attacks were retaliation for an American strike on Qeshm Island, a strategically located island in the Strait of Hormuz.
▪️ Kuwait’s defense ministry confirmed it is under attack from drones and missiles; Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB said strikes hit both Camp Arifjan and Ali Al-Salem Airbase in at least two waves
▪️ Eight explosions reported in Bahrain, which is also under attack, according to various monitoring accounts
▪️ Explosions were reported near the village of Masan on the southern coast of Qeshm Island, Fars news reported
▪️ Iran also appears to be heavily striking Iranian-Kurdish opposition groups near Erbil in northern Iraq
▪️ Earlier, CENTCOM said U.S. forces fired a Hellfire missile into the engine room of a Botswana-flagged commercial tanker, the M/T Lexie, after its crew ignored warnings while attempting to reach Iran’s Kharg Island.
CENTCOM says it has now disabled six commercial vessels and redirected 122 since imposing a naval blockade of Iranian ports on April 13.
The IRGC warned: “The time of ‘strike and run’ has passed,” adding that any further aggression “will be met with a seismic, decisive, and crushing response.”

It’s cool how the White House staff with knowledge of Trump’s phone calls with Israel only have one reporter’s phone number - and it’s the same phone number that Biden’s staff with knowledge of his phone calls to Israel had. What are the chances!
I think socialists should not be for using global economic warfare to pursue aggressive NATO expansion to pursue continued American imperialist hegemony over the Earth
The US no longer seek legal justification for its actions. This is what’s different from before in Afghanistan and Iraq and beyond --the abandonment of even the performative adherence to international legality signals a crisis of hegemony.
It is precisely within this rupture that Iran’s actions in the Strait of Hormuz must be situated. International law has never been external to power; it has been historically produced through encounters of imperial/powerful states. The so-called “War on Terror,” for instance, redefined the temporal and spatial limits of war not through consensus, but through the unilateral capacity of the United States to impose a borderless battlefield.
What we are witnessing now is a partial inversion of that process. Iran’s enforcement of regulatory authority in the Strait is not merely a legal claim—it is a materially grounded practice, enabled by its capacity to project force in a geographically strategic chokepoint. Law here does not precede power; it is articulated through it.
Iran’s position is effective not because it is legally unassailable in the abstract, but because it is backed by the means (force) to enforce a particular interpretation of maritime governance.

BATUK: BRITAIN'S COLONIAL GRIP IN KENYA
BATUK: The White Man’s Burden in Kenya is not just a documentary about a British military base where soldiers roll around in the dirt for six months before returning home to the UK. It is a documentary about abuse of power, occupation of indigenous land and the unfinished business of colonialism.
For decades, ordinary Kenyans living around BATUK have raised allegations of abuse, sexual violence, ecological destruction and impunity, while one of the world’s most powerful former colonial powers continues to operate freely on Kenyan soil, handing out small amounts of compensation whenever evidence of alleged crimes reaches the media.
At the centre of the documentary is the story of Agnes Wanjiru, a 21-year-old Kenyan woman who was tortured, killed and dumped in a septic tank, while British soldiers mocked and ridiculed her death on social media. One soldier posed in front of the septic tank and posted, “If you know, you know.” Others joked about the five-month-old daughter she left behind, posting imagery of a baby beside a gravesite.
But the story goes beyond Agnes and her tragic killing and the shocking behaviour of British troops thereafter. The documentary asks deeper questions:
How did Britain maintain a military presence in Kenya, the very same year the country supposedly gained independence?
Why are foreign troops still training on stolen land while local communities continue to suffer?
And above all, why does the Kenyan government allow all of this?
Laikipia County, currently in the spotlight because of plans for an Ebola quarantine facility for US citizens, is the very same county where the BATUK military base is headquartered. This documentary helps connect the dots about why Kenya’s political elite remain so willing to cede sovereignty to foreign powers like Britain, and why they may be willing to do the same again with the United States.
This is Sovereign Media’s first-ever documentary. We are a small, independent team with a brand-new YouTube channel and no corporate backing. We need your support now more than ever.
Watch. Share. Comment. Spread it everywhere.

🇨🇴 Colombia’s Petro rejects preliminary election results, alleges vote count software manipulated
Outgoing Colombian President Gustavo Petro rejected the preliminary election results Sunday, alleging the vote-counting and electoral processing software developed and managed by Thomas Greg & Sons, a firm owned by the billionaire “Bautista brothers,” was altered three times in the past week and added 800,000 ballots for individuals not in the official census.
“There are two censuses at this moment: the official one and that of the Bautista brothers’ software, which has 800,000 additional people,” Petro wrote.
Petro said he will only accept results certified by official electoral scrutiny boards directed by judges of the Republic. The allegations are not the first — in April, Petro said an intelligence report showed the Bautista brothers had offered algorithms to favor far-right candidate De la Espriella, claims the campaign denied.
With 99.94% of votes counted, De la Espriella led with 43.7% against leftist candidate Iván Cepeda’s 40.9%. Both will face a runoff on June 21.
BREAKING: Colombia’s Far-right candidate Abelardo de la Espriella & leftist Iván Cepeda will face off in the 2 round on June 21.
Colombia’s votes are counted by a private company that refuses audits. Petro calls for state control of the election software.
