As a Think Tank we feel obligated to share our knowledge and support interested minds. In that spirit we are looking forward to our Thought-Leader Event „KI, LLMs und GPTs: Heilsbringer oder Damoklesschwert für das Recht?“ in Cooperation with C.H.BECK Verlag next week in Munich.
Five years.
That's how long we're around.
Five years ago, in this conference room in Munich, our seven founders established this think and do tank for #change in #law. The power has amplified meanwhile with so many more great minds and organizations. Thank you all!
The IRI§23-ReMeP workshop "ChatGPT as a Prototype Natural Language Legal Search Engine?" has just kicked-off with the keynote "The Potential of ChatGPT for Law" by Dr. Bernhard Waltl @LiquidLegalInst.

@SavageFridays @cloc_org Also check out @LiquidLegalInst 👉 there is a lot of thinking happening re the digital transformation of contracting incl metadata, etc
@JuLoewe Possibly it will be easier to do with some help on how to start with it as our current #legal#education in many jurisdiction is rather #perfection centered.
Anyway, the #lawyerwellbeing booklet might be a start, available here: https://t.co/1JMBaXYL6v
NEW: 'Liquid Legal – Humanization and the Law' edited by Kai Jacob, Dierk Schindler, Roger Strathausen and Bernhard Waltl examines humanization in law, business and technology. See https://t.co/b6qQQUSwIT

@ignazfuesgen@BUJ_eV@anita_lamprecht@Weblaw Indeed, well put, there will be lots to do, also in future, but people who oppose all change and behave like all will infinitely stay the same, might get in trouble.
Now that's an interesting discussion. @anusiagillespie's essay in @Legal_Ev discusses whether there should be a formal duty of #lawyers to innovate based in the US model rules for attorneys. How about other countries? How do we bring the much needed #innovation in #law?
Should the legal profession have an affirmative ethical duty to innovate? Most of us are skeptical, but @anusiagillespie makes a surprisingly convincing case, drawing support from @reneeknake@inspiredcat@EJWalters & @bobambrogi https://t.co/HlNeN7QZto
@FatimahAbbouchi We fully agree. Probably industries and specific traditions of working might need their own translations of how to do it or some slight modifications or additions to make it work smoothly.
Can #legal functions work in an #agile manner?
Yes, they can. Although some exchange and insight might do good to get started. That's why we are now hosting a monthly roundtable for agile legal work.
By the way: The roundtable is open for all members. Anf, if you are not part of the Liquid Legal Institute (yet), please feel free to reach out, we intend to invite guests to one or two sessions.
We're looking forward to the Legal Innovation 2022 conference by @swisslegaltech tomorrow. Several of us will be present. E.g. Anita Lamprecht, Maurus Schreyvogel, Michael (@burkartm22) and Astrid (@scarlettyard).
