@vickihird @The_RHS It’s a brilliant idea but it would be even more brilliant if the main causes of biodiversity loss, mentioned all too briefly in the article, were addressed by government namely habitat loss, climate change and pollution. I’d add pesticide use to that list.

@pondsntrees Remember: flea and tick pet collars and spot treatments contain neonicotinoids which can cause deformities. Minute exposures to aquatic environments are devastating.
If you have treated pets and want to keep a wildlife pond you really need to keep them out of it.
