Three doors down from our home, a father recently shared that his 6-year-old daughter has entered hospice care. We can only imagine the depth of emotions their family is experiencing, and the incredible bravery this little girl has shown.

The father mentioned that her favorite holiday is Christmas — she absolutely loves Christmas lights.

Our community is trying to come together and decorate their home, bringing some holiday magic and joy to this sweet little angel.

But we were wondering if someone with a much larger reach, might be able to reach out to someone like Coca-Cola, @Lowes , @HomeDepot or any others - to help facilitate transforming our street into a winter wonderland of sorts for this child in her last days.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Time is of the essence.

We are not looking for someone that wants to make a spectacle of this, we just need someone that is willing to help for the sake of helping.

The lady at the charity shop today told me that she wishes people would clear out their children's old toys in the lead up to Christmas rather than after because she always sees a number of parents in the days before Christmas looking for toys for their little ones who might be strapped for cash. She said there's very rarely anything in just before, but that they get inundated with toys in the days after.

And it really made me think about it in a way I never would have before.

If you know your child is going to get lots of presents from Father Christmas this year, by clearing out your cupboards a few days early, you could make another child's Christmas a lot more special too.
