Thank you British Blind sport for helping me realise that there is so much more to me than being an athlete. My time in the world class program has honed so many skills I didn’t realise I had
‼️ THIS ‼️
A brilliant message from @loraturnham, who is thriving in her second career at @BritBlindSport since retiring in June.
Check out her advice for athletes navigating the switch from sport to the world of work. 👇

Lots @loraturnham is a force of nature and a stalwart of GB’s Paralympic programme. She has been outspoken and forthright in her views, in order to instigate change. By doing this article, she has already made an impact within UK Sport, and I hope she continues to use her voice for the good of others who are often too afraid to speak out. THIS, this is strength. 👏 READ: 👇
After receiving a rather upsetting email from UK sports a month ago, I decided to finally speak up. Athletes deserve a voice and people have the right to know the truth.

The majority of my life has been spent expecting more from myself
I need to be stronger, faster, more powerful, more confident, win more medals.
I lost sight of I am enough as I am.
No one is more suited to the role of Lora than me.
Here’s to a fresh start of being enough.

Considering I woke up in a different country to my pilot the fact that we made it to the start line of the road race today at the world champs is an achievement in itself. Finishing 6th wasn’t what we hoped for but we made the best of it and couldn’t have done any more.
Just wanted to share a lovely comment we received when @neilfachie shared this photo.
We may have won bronze and silver, but Fraser is our Gold.
The truth of it made me cry.
8 Years ago today I fulfilled the dream of becoming a Paralympic champion. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in defending that title in Paris this year.Hhowever, the memories will live with me for a lifetime. Truly won the best feelings ever.
So long @Paralympics fair well #Paris2024
You have been incredible. Thank you for the memories.
Unfortunately all good things must end. It’s time to go home.
Au revoir
In the past I was lead to believe it was gold or nothing, That bronze was not good enough. I’m working hard to rectify this. Winning a medal of any colour is not easy at a Paralympics. I’ve fought hard for each and every medal and I’m proud of my 3 bronzes @ParalympicsGB
A birthday BRONZE! 🎂
Lora Fachie and Corrine Hall ride to a medal in the women’s B individual time-trial on Lora’s 36th birthday!! 🎉🥳
