Im Fall Bad Bodenteich (Landkreis Uelzen) wurden neugeborene Katzenbabys in Schraubgläser gesteckt und qualvoll dem Ersticken überlassen. Mindestens drei Tiere starben, ein weiteres überlebte zunächst, verstarb jedoch später an den Folgen. (Quelle: AZ Online)
Die Staatsanwaltschaft Lüneburg hat das Verfahren gegen den beschuldigten Mann eingestellt – mit der Begründung, es liege „kein öffentliches Interesse“ vor.

Damit wird ein Signal gesetzt, dass grausame Tierquälerei ohne ernsthafte Konsequenzen bleiben darf.
