Im just an artist who wants to bring people together. I’ve been this way my whole career. I see the value in storytelling and experiences that shift perspectives. In art and exhibitions that push how we view them.

Months ago, @cycol_gallery took a globally recognized artist and pushed him. In turn he pushed us and we made magic. Someone who never created or minted digital art, made an entire body of work on @solana that included digital, physical, sculpture, poetry, and mural work to build a world. A world that connected 400 people on Thursday night.

The past year had been a constant lesson in growth. In making things happen I never thought were possible. In fighting through so many obstacles to see a vision come to life. One battle after another it seems, but we keep making things. We keep going.

PIECES by Bisco Smith reinforced my vision for Cycol 2.0 and how myself, my incredibly valued Assistant Director @lampwrecked_, @lowbrownative and team will work to tap in to culture in ways that make the Web3 and web2 communities come to together and advance ideas. This is what making art looks like to me now.

In the meantime, PIECES will be up until September 12th, with an artist talk, NFT NYC event, and closing in the works. If you are in the NYC area I highly suggest you check this out.

Cycol is special, made even more special bc of the work put in by the team and Bisco to transform the space into an experience that stays with you after you leave. We are different, we move different, and we’ll continue to set the bar for what the onboarding of artists and enjoyers of art looks like when you lead with art and culture.

Excited to announce that @cycol_gallery is renewing our lease for another year. What started as a crazy idea to open a brick and mortar gallery under the @bonk_inu and @solana flags has become one of the most challenging and beautiful experiences of my life.

We’ve exhibited some of the best artists in the world at Cycol, supported Solana artists globally, and properly bridged traditional and digital worlds, all while building a culture of creativity, curiosity, and acceptance.

Because of this, @SolanaFndn and BONK have decided to continue to support our journey to sustainability the next year as we build out Cycol 2.0. For that I’m eternally grateful.

I’ve never done something like this before. We were building the plane while we flew it, with a lot of lessons along the way. Without the team, none of this is possible. Your care throughout this process is something I’ll never forget. Thank you @lampwrecked_ @lowbrownative @douglasrmccurdy @lobeldesign Jack Desa, @jairo_ema25 and some of the local businesses and people who have become family.

To the 54 artists who exhibited on our walls and the 100+ artists who exhibited under our name, thank you for taking a chance on us.

Cycol Gallery is proud to present PIECES, a major new solo exhibition by Bisco Smith, opening July 30, 2026.

Conceived in response to an invitation to create an exhibition incorporating digital screens, Smith’s instinct was to begin somewhere unexpectedly elemental. Rather than allowing technology to dictate the work, he turned to one of humanity’s oldest building materials: concrete. Painted with his distinctive gestural language before being shattered by hand, industrial concrete blocks become both medium and metaphor. Their fragmentation gives rise to sculptural forms that extend through large-scale paintings and immersive moving-image installations, carrying Smith’s visual language from matter into light. “Breaking concrete slowed everything down,” Smith reflects. “In that space, I was reminded that behind every screen is something real: a place, a memory, a human life.” Guided by meditation and deeply informed by music, Smith approaches painting as a form of visual lyricism. Words emerge intuitively, dissolving and reforming with the cadence of a freestyle verse as language becomes gesture. Throughout the exhibition, embedded phrases and layered abstraction explore the shifting relationship between permanence and impermanence, destruction and creation.

Beginning with concrete and unfolding through painting, sculpture, and moving image, PIECES traces a journey from matter to light without losing its human origin. In an age defined by acceleration, distraction, and division, Bisco Smith creates space for attention—for slowing down and looking closely at how the act of making carries the possibility of renewal.

Version 2.0 will take this to the next level. By uniting communities through inclusivity and truly unique in-person experiences, Cycol will show the world—and our bustling location in the LES—that culture, art in all its forms, and inspiration are the driving forces behind everything we do.

But first, I’d like to introduce you to Bisco Smith, exhibiting at Cycol from July 30 to September 13.

Bisco Smith is an international contemporary artist whose practice spans painting, music, lyricism, and graffiti. Emerging from street culture, he has developed a distinctive visual language in which abstraction, gesture, and text converge in rhythmic, spontaneous compositions shaped by music and contemporary experience. Smith has exhibited internationally across New York, Los Angeles, Miami, London, Tokyo, Seoul, Berlin, and Lagos, and has collaborated with global brands including Nike, Adidas, Spotify, and The North Face. His work is driven by a belief in art's capacity to reflect the present and inspire the possibility of a more hopeful future.
