Mike McCarthy said having Drew Allar as the only QB at rookie minicamp was by design.
“We pushed him. To go 35 snaps in a team drill, that's pushing it, but he handled it. … If your quarterback can't handle it, then you don't get to go to the speed and the tempo and the pre-snap that we were able to go. I thought Drew did a hell of a job.”
Since 2023, Drew Allar leads the FBS with 38 3rd/4th down conversions on in-breaking routes. #1 selling point for Allar besides the arm talent imo, he could find these backside digs with a blindfold on
Luke Falk shared a Mike Leach story that stopped me cold:
Two kids. One rich. One poor.
Every training camp, Coach Leach told his team about these 2 kids.
The rich kid has two choices.
Get soft. Get entitled. Expect everything handed to him because he was handed more.
Or take the resources, the coaching, the opportunities, and compound them into something greater.
The poor kid has two choices too.
Say nobody gave him anything. Blame the world. Make his circumstances the reason he never became what he could have been.
Or outwork everyone in the room.
Luke said the locker room had both. Kids from wealth. Kids from nothing. Kids with every advantage. Kids who scraped for every inch.
Same choice for all of them.
Ownership or victimhood.
Fuel or excuse.
The rich kid can waste the head start or build on it.
The poor kid can drown in the deficit or weaponize it.
Greatness doesn't come from where you start.
It comes from which kid you choose to feed.

Anybody hating on the Drew Allar pick please say it to my face, I will be more than happy to teach you little fuckers a lesson.
Suck. My. Fucking. Dick.
Lil pitters are melting down over the Allar pick. Bringing up how lil Kenny was supposedly treated by PSU and WVU fans. Let’s go over the differences.
Kenny was an abject failure at Pitt his 1st 4 seasons. Even lil pitters hated him. Then covid happened and lil Kenny was given an extra season 23 year old Kenny crushed it. However there was plenty of tape from the previous 4 years that he was trash. It didn’t matter. Lil pitters and the Pitt media rallied around Kenny in a messiah like fashion denying his game had any flaws proclaiming him to be better than Marino. Objective PSU and WVU fans pushed back hard. Knowing his flaws and that the Steelers reached.
Now look at Allar. Every penn state fan and media member are saying Allar is a project he has flaws. He could work but it will take a lot of work. Nobody is proclaiming super bowls or a HOF career. We readily admit what he is. A high upside guy with flaws.
Why is this? Well Penn state has had sustained success for 60 plus years. Pitt has been irrelevant for 50 years. It took a global pandemic for Pitt’s greatest season since 1976. Lil pitters are hateful delusional people and they will pray for Drew’s failure.
Drew had success thst lil pitters can only dream of. The pick by the Steelers is a great pick! Will he succeed who knows? But I will be roasting the hypocritical lil pitters at every turn!
