This is happening at a time we are being told the state is awash with money and resources.

We’ve always been at the bottom when it comes to allocating those resources but this is a whole new ball game, it’s cutting further into the measly supports we have.

The policy that is being pursued appears to be one of institutionalisation, a throw back to a time when we locked away those people who needed the most support.

It needs to be resisted and we would encourage people to contact the local rep’s and express their views that this is unacceptable.
