This bodega's manager, close to yesterday’s ICE shooting in NYC, spoke to El Grito. Ruth Hilario says people are scared; nothing like this has ever happened before. Adding, her community is made up of hardworking immigrants, and agents shouldn't have shot with a child close by.
We called the small business that had a clear view of yesterday’s ICE shooting. The manager told El Grito’s Paola that the NYPD asked them not to share the video. She told contributing journalist Andrea different law enforcement came asking for the footage too, but it was gone.
DHS says the man shot by an ICE agent in NYC had a prior conviction and associations with the Trinitarios gang. A witness says he pulled over agents barricaded him in. He then tried to drive away and that’s when agents fired.

There’s been another ICE shooting. The NYPD tweeted the non-fatal shooting happened at around 4pm today in the Bronx. The police say the person is current conscious receiving care at a nearby hospital. The Mayor says a child was in the car when agents fire multiple rounds.
