Two nice colour ringed YBW sightings recently:
Mainland Shetland -> Carmel Head, Anglesey
Lundy -> Lower Moors, Scilly
Especially interesting southerly re-orientation from Shetland. Many thanks to the ringers & birders who reported these.

A nice arrivals of scarce migrants to the isle yesterday starting with a Dartford Warbler around Rocket pole the 12th island record, then a female Bullfinch in Milcombe, just the second this year. Then finally a Richards Pipit around Quarter Wall made for nice late autumn birding
Amazing, looks like she cruised north along Lundy and the Bristol Channel Approaches. @stevepercival63 are you able to share a timestamp? This nicely aligns with the small flocks we've logged recently
A second day of Cory's Shearwater madness with the end of day total clocking in at 35 birds! Best of the rest, 2 Purple Sandpiper, 2 Arctic Skua, Ortolan Bunting (present for second day), Snow Bunting, 2 Mediterranean Gull and Barnacle Goose π· @BirdGuides
Yellow-browed Warbler trapped and ringed in Millcombe this morning. This becomes the first bird to be colour-marked on Lundy as part of the national project @BirdGuides
Short-eared Owl trapped and ringed last night π· Tom Williams. Today, Lapwing, 5 Golden Plover and Great Northern Diver all new-in, plus Short-toed Lark still present @BirdGuides
First Siskin of the autumn logged today. Also, Yellow-browed Warbler in St John's Valley (constitutes the 4th bird day for the species), a late Willow Warbler got the heart racing, Ring Ouzel still present and 3 Lapwing new-in. Short-toed Lark now onto it's 12th day! @BirdGuides
Enjoyable few days on Lundy Island- Highlights included this Short Toed Lark, Pied & Spotted Flycatcher, Firecrests, Redstart, Merlin & a good passage of Hirundines
Just been sent more photos of the Short-toed Lark taken by Neil Barnes yesterday evening. The bird has really settled in to island life, feeding well and preening along the track near Pondsbury and Halfway Wall
First Redwing of the autumn logged just now, plus Firecrest π· trapped and ringing this morning and a single Spotted Flycatcher still present, all top of Millcombe
@steverosser4@BirdGuides Hi Steve. Also known as Quarry Cottages, they are located on the plateau just south of Quarry Terrace along the east sidelands. Built by the Lundy Granite Company back in the 1860s, these are now ruinous but walls survive up to gable height. A favoured site for migrant Ring Ouzel
