@ModDoesStuff@Tyras_Mikhail As for your US experience, I can't know how those people were
But you will absolutely find that in the US. People have guns for defense & that leads to talks about killing people
Some have trouble with that & others will be too eager. That's just the diversity of people
@ModDoesStuff@Tyras_Mikhail Civil dialogue also isn't going to start with "we're changing our policies to specifically target a group". That type of action elicits backlash by those effected or aligned.
Just like when Megaplex went 18+ due to new laws, backlash hits first before any civl talks
@ModDoesStuff@Tyras_Mikhail My first sentence was about the fact you brought guns specifically into the conversation while the post you responded to was about the tactical gear & uniforms.
@ModDoesStuff@Tyras_Mikhail My post pointed was the hypocrisy of saying your point was "not that anybody is worried about a ~~ fursuiter shooting someone" while your posts only mentioned the higher chance of harm/crime in the US
Which is different then your explanation of the perception of guns in the US
@ModDoesStuff@Tyras_Mikhail So what is the perception that my attitude is giving guns? Then what about my attitude gives that impression in the first place?
@Tyras_Mikhail Tbh, i legit thought you just meant the EU with that.
But that's probably the case. Especially with all the odd rewriting of the furry origin that seems to be going on all the time.
Just one way for some people to keep their own version thriving.
Honestly this whole situation is just another version of "thoughts & prayers" that these people generally complain about.
Only difference is the actions they took has the same effect as thoughts & prayers.
It's absolutely hilarious to me that anti-milfurs say "Lol, I'm glad AC banned tactical gear, wear something creative instead of LARPing as a jackboot!" when Asian fursuiters wearing tactical gear absolutely mog 99% of uwu sparkledog suits you see in American furcons.
@Tyras_Mikhail Precisely what the majority of these type of rule changes are, just a way to appease some people at the expense of others.
Would've made far more sense to do a prop ban vs an outright ban of all tactical gear.
@ModDoesStuff@Tyras_Mikhail The issue here is quite obviously not actual guns either. Regardless how much you bring them up.
Also pretty bold to say the point you were making was not about furries shooting someone after you pointed out the difference of Tawain & US was more people carry guns to harm in US
