On this powerful day, South Africa’s Women’s Day, we are proud to officially launch the Living Evidence Map on the National Strategic Plan on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (NSP on GBVF).
Developed by the Pan- African Collective for Evidence in collaboration with the @DpmeOfficial, this tool is a bold step forward in the fight against #GBVF.
This AI powered living evidence map is a dynamic, user-friendly platform designed to centralise, organise, and connect the best available evidence on GBVF to the people who need it most, policymakers, implementers, and advocates.
Launched on Women’s Day, it stands as a tribute to the resilience, leadership, and power of those in the frontlines and a call for real, evidence-informed change—now.
Watch as project lead @AndyWaAzania explains how the evidence map was conceptualised and developed.

The National Strategic Plan on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (NSP on GBVF) is South Africa’s bold, united response to GBVF: a whole-of-society plan designed by government and civil society to drive real, lasting change.
For those new to it, the NSP on GBVF is built on six pillars:
1. Accountability, Coordination & Leadership
2. Prevention & Rebuilding Social Cohesion
3. Justice, Safety & Protection
4. Response, Care, Support & Healing
5. Economic Power
6. Research & Information Management
Our Living Evidence Map is a critical part of Pillar 6, a dynamic resource that strengthens the research and knowledge base needed to inform smart, effective policies and programs.
Watch as the Director of Research and Knowledge at the @DpmeOfficial, Dr Harsha Dayal @Dayal70 explains the policy environment that shaped the development of the Living Evidence Map, with a focus on how the tool supports South Africa’s commitment to evidence-informed policymaking in addressing GBVF under the National Strategic Plan.

@Afrihost terrible service and poor coordination . I have waited 4 days for a product of which they had conducted a cancellation of previously without my consent. They give their clients a run around yet they are quick to take funds for products they don’t even deliver. Pathetic.
