It’s God’s presence plus His promise that chases away our anxious thoughts.
So in the places where you are feeling alone and afraid... remember, God is right there with you.
Acknowledge His presence.
Proclaim His promises.
These are the sweetest comforts I know.
Let’s remind our hearts of this truth: Prayer does make a difference. We don’t need to know how or when. We just need to kneel confidently and know even our most simple prayers extend far wide and far high and far deep.
I was recently a guest on @PastorServe's Frontstage Backstage Podcast talking about all things control and releasing our plans and outcomes to the Lord! You can watch the interview here:

Lord, thank You for the gift of today.
I want to see You. I want to hear You. I want to know You. I want to live in great expectation of experiencing You.
Help me intentionally look for You and Your activity everywhere I venture today. I love You Lord... always and forever.
There may absolutely be something that Jesus wants to address in our hearts. But remember, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).
Jesus doesn’t use the statements, “You always do this...” and “You never do that....” Jesus doesn’t use our situations against us.
He simply brings truth to life and asks us to align with it.
Trying to fix another person will only add to our anxiety. Letting Jesus work on us is where real progress can happen. Let’s open our hearts to Jesus and let Him do what only He can do.
Learning deeper trust in God doesn’t often happen in straight lines of obedience. It’s when we cycle through trials, tripping and sometimes falling, that we realize our desperate need for Him.
Knowing our need for Him leads us to putting our trust in Him.
Release brings with it the gift of peace.
That means there may be some opportunities we need to decline. There may be some things we need to say no to in this current season. There may even be good things we need to let go of, so we can make room for the best things.
What comes out of our mouth is a direct reflection of what’s stored up in our heart. If we want to assess how we’re doing, all we have to do is listen to what we’re saying. (See James 3:1-12)
God will accomplish good even when life doesn’t feel good or look good. How do I know this for certain? Because God brings good with Him to every nook and cranny of this very broken world we live in.
Where God is, good is being worked. We don’t have to see it. But we CAN choose to believe it because we believe in God and His goodness!

We can keep pretending like we have it all together. We can even keep frantically trying to hold it all together. Or we can admit to Jesus what He already knows … that we desperately need Him.
The enemy wants you to believe the lie that God can’t possibly change someone like you.
God wants you to know He longs to transform you, and He’s making you more and more like Jesus. (Romans 8:29)

If today finds you weeping, hurting, needing time to wrestle with grief & loss… it’s okay. You don’t have to try to quickly sweep up the shattered pieces of your heart.
Jesus understands what it’s like to deeply feel human emotions like grief & heartache. Let Him comfort you.
