The Smithsonian's National Museum of American History seems like the perfect place to celebrate the different identities that make up our incredible nation (Including #LatinaPower).
This attempt to erase identity is a disservice to the strength of our country. @repgill
Rep. Brandon Gill repeatedly pressed the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History director on whether selling “Latina Power” merchandise was appropriate. The exchange came during a House subcommittee hearing examining allegations that the Smithsonian presents a politicized view of U.S. history. The hearing followed a July 4 White House report criticizing the museum’s exhibits and programming.

The Texas Dream Act was enacted with bipartisan support and signed into law by Governor Rick Perry because lawmakers recognized it was sound public policy. That bipartisan consensus was reaffirmed when efforts to repeal the law during the last legislative session failed to gain traction.
If there is an effort to change the Texas Dream Act, it should happen through the legislative process, not by asking the courts to do what the Legislature declined to do. Circumventing the will of the #txlege through litigation undermines the democratic process.
We won’t give up on this fight. @MALCTx
According to @myushbc 60% of TX Hispanic business owners cite inflation as a primary concern. 📈
