@YostBuilt@JordanAckerMI GR, Toledo, Ft Wayne, et al., have tried it before and all lost money and a weekend for other profitable options. So bidding is basically irrelevant around here unless the system changes to guarantee profit.
@paulacweston Not sure where C-C sources sugar/other raw ingredients, and with all due respect to the corn growers...last time I looked, over 50% of the sugar produced in the US was from beets (shout out to the farms/processors right here in Michigan).
Bev Plocki’s 26 Big Ten titles are the most by any coach, in any sport in the league’s history
And given the league’s expansion, that record may stand for a while
@Johnubacon I share an American father and a Canadian mother with you, old friend...but I was adopted. So what to call myself, eh?
Maybe Half-Baked Canadian?!
Cheers!
Happy Pride Month to my community and our allies. It’s a hard thing, coming out. I was fortunate, accepted unconditionally by family and friends. So many of my friends haven’t been as blessed. That’s what makes Pride Month so important — showing others that it’s OK to be YOU.
@JoshInMichigan@_ZachShaw For example...
Michigan will play UCLA today with no chance of advancing (and in Michigan's case as a team below the bubble, no chance of a NCAA bid). Even if they win, it creates a "tie" in their pool, which by rule still advances UCLA as the highest seed.
Brilliant...not?!
@_ZachShaw Who are the "genuises" who dreamed up this format? Now they are forced to play another game vs. UCLA with literally no chance of moving on (win or lose) or getting a NCAA bid!
That said, bottom 9th they had bases loaded with 1 out and couldn't score...end of story.
No, Ono already had an offer from University of Florida for $3M, and he knew if he signed the UM Regents’ Op-Ed pushing back on Trump pressuring universities, UF’s offer would be immediately rescinded. Ono was not motivated by politics, but self-interest. He is a chameleon.
@dougastevens@Johnubacon Spot on...he was a "breath of fresh air" when we really needed it on campus. But his time at UC and UBC did not reflect the skill set required for this position. Hopefully the search firm/process will be much different this time around. Accountability matters more than ever.
