Justice Secretary @ShabanaMahmood just announced tasers will be trialled in prisons after pressure from the prison officers’ union.
In a structurally racist system, Black and brown people already face unequal use of force and abuse in prisons. This will only create more harm.
Muslims are more likely to have force used against them in prisons than non-Muslims which involve pain-inducing techniques
Our data shows that proper scrutiny of this state sanctioned violence is missing and points to an unequal justice system

Our recent Schools With Roots session highlighted the key role of linking home and school learning. Parents & children swapped insights on the cultural meanings of flags and how anti-racist education allows children to be able to embrace their identity and express themselves 🎨
