India’s two-wheeler market continues to witness robust growth.

In Q1 FY2026–27, domestic two-wheeler sales registered a 20.3% year-on-year growth, reaching 5.63 million units, up from 4.68 million units in Q1 FY2025–26.

This strong performance reflects sustained consumer demand, the resilience of India’s automotive sector, and its continued contribution to strengthening the nation’s manufacturing ecosystem and driving economic growth.

आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री @narendramodi जी के मार्गदर्शन एवं माननीय मुख्यमंत्री श्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी जी के नेतृत्व में पश्चिम बंगाल प्रगति और विकास की नई ऊंचाइयों की ओर अग्रसर है। राज्य में आधारभूत संरचना, ग्रामीण विकास, आवास, कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण से जुड़े अनेक महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लिए गए हैं।

प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना-ग्रामीण के अंतर्गत एक लाख आवासों की स्वीकृति, विकसित भारत–जी राम जी के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन के लिए ₹8,508 करोड़ का बजट आवंटित किया गया है। किसानों को बेहतर पौध, अच्छी पैदावार और निर्यात–गुणवत्ता के फल मिल सकें इसके लिए मालदा क्लीन प्लांट के तहत अधुनिक नर्सरी सिस्टम बनाया जाएगा।

पश्चिम बंगाल के 'राइस बाउल' क्षेत्रों में पोषण संवर्धन, वैल्यू चेन विकास और प्रोसेसिंग सुविधाओं के लिए विशेष प्रोजेक्ट को मंजूरी दी गई है। आलू बीज उत्पादन और हाइब्रिड मक्का बीज उत्पादन और वैल्यू चेन सुदृढ़ करने के लिए राज्य सरकार के साथ MOU साइन साइन किया गया है। साथ ही चिनसुरा राइस रिसर्च स्टेशन को सेंटर ऑफ एक्सीलेंस के रूप में भी विकसित करने में भारत सरकार पूरा सहयोग करेगी। पश्चिम बंगाल के लिए वैज्ञानिक कृषि रोडमैप तथा बंगाल को पूर्वी भारत का सीड हब बनाने में हम कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ेंगे।

प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना लागू करने, डिजिटल कृषि मिशन के अंतर्गत फार्मर आईडी निर्माण में तेजी लाने, प्रधानमंत्री धन-धान्य योजना तथा राष्ट्रीय प्राकृतिक खेती मिशन के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन के लिए मुख्यमंत्री जी व उनकी टीम को बहुत-बहुत बधाई।

पश्चिम बंगाल के विकास में भारत सरकार कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ेगी। कदम से कदम और कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर डबल इंजन की सरकार चलेगी। पश्चिम बंगाल प्रगति एवं विकास में देश में नंबर वन बने, इसके लिए हरसंभव प्रयास किए जाएंगे।

For as long as most of us have been following Indian economic data, we have had a monthly number for the smaller half of the economy, but no monthly number for the larger half, and this fills the gap. Industry, which accounts for a little under one-third of the Gross Value Added (GVA) has had an Index of Industrial Production (IIP) for decades. Services, which have been more than half of the #GVA since 2013-14 have had nothing of that kind. Therefore, we have been driving with a headlamp pointed towards the shorter side of the road. From today, that is now changing
