@coyleneil Where are the pounds in our pockets we were promised? What's happened to the economy, inflation and unemployment, particularly youth unemployment? What's happened to council tax that we were told would be frozen? Why are we paying more in tax than ever in history?
@TrisOsborneMP The rises in NMW along with the employment rights act have made employing the young too expensive and too high risk. The proposed incentive to employers for hiring a young person who has been unemployed for 6 mths will condemn the young to a minimum of 6 mths unemployment
@LabourfutureUK Not sure that crisps, chocolate and pickled peppers are "essential household items" but hey ho. Now reduce tax and actually give us something to be happy about.
@LabourHome_@RachelReevesMP "Great British Summer Savings" so families can spend quality time together whilst at the same time talking about introducing a tourist tax on holiday accommodation. Do you see anything wrong there?
@AlexBallingerMP You're raking in additional fuel duty and VAT because of the increased prices, electric cars to be charged 3p per mile. The ยฃ3 bus fare cap was ยฃ2 until you increased it. The summer scheme doesn't include adult prices to take the kids so is nothing more than a gesture.
@YvetteCooperMP There has been a reduction in immigration for those who add value to the economy but there has been no decrease in respect of asylum seekers and those that add no value. Do you see the problem there? We will be worse off as a country because of what you've achieved.
@TrisOsborneMP There's a problem though when you dig in to the data. There's been a fall in immigration for people that add value to the economy but an increase in immigration relating to asylum seekers and people that add no value to our economy.
@TrisOsborneMP As an employer, I can assure you the reason I'm not hiring at the moment is the cost of employing people has become too high and the recent legislation has made it too high risk. It's nothing to do with the Middle East.
@David__Osland Do you understand that chocolate has increased due to a shortage of the cocoa bean? A bean that is grown in South America? The same goes for coffee beans. there has also been a decrease in olive oil production due to poor crops as a result of drought.
