@moonbeamer6@BenjySarlin I think he believed, like the rest of the country, that there were a lot more people In LA who were fed up living like they have been. Nope. They all love living in a garbage heap with their houses burning down.
@CashDemocrat@BenjySarlin I went to LA 3 years ago. Asked people on the sunset strip where was a good place to eat for lunch. When they found out I was visiting from Texas, asked me if I knew I was in a place where gay people were, like they actually thought I’d run away screaming or something.
@m00seknuck13@BenjySarlin Yeah, it’s pretty clear 85% of the residents love living in a declining garbage heap. I’m sure he was hoping there were more normal people left. The country is disappointed that there’s not.
@janecoaston Everyone knows who the mayor of LA is. Businesses who want to come in (and don’t) will look to the mayor first. They are the advertisers of the city. That’s a lot of power.
@janecoaston How many votes did the last Republican get in a mayoral race?
Mayors are “low power” but high impact position in every city. They steer the course, even if they have no more voting power than another council member.
@DC_Draino The California game is not rigged. That’s loser speak. Hilton and Pratt could have employed the same mail-in ballot and ballot curing systems, but for some unfathomable reason, chose not to.
Play by the rules as they are, not how you wish them to be.
