And he did it all WELL. Haven't heard a bad word about him and in this day and age, you hear bad words about everyone and everything. Thoughts and condolences to his family and friends, he will be forever remembered.
I really hope Robert Walls knew how loved he is by not just the Carlton faithful, but the wider football and general community. A visionary in many senses of the word, one of a handful of men you could listen to for hours and absorb every word he said. A truly monumental loss.
My family were Carlton growing up, and the 1987 premiership team poster was on my wall for years. My Pa, who was such a harsh critic of his beloved Blues, spoke so highly of him for so long, it probably forged the lifelong admiration I have of him. He could, and did, do it all.
