You can't legislate a country into becoming a Christian nation. True Christianity comes only from an encounter with Christ. The more people who have that encounter and then live out the principles of God's kingdom, the more Christian the nation will become.
Governments will do what governments do, but those who identify as followers of Jesus must always remain true to Him, regardless of what Government does.
Partisan politics can easily become hypocritical. We can get to a point where we accept what "our side" does, but if the same thing were to be done by the "other side," we would openly condemn it. Judge things on principles, not by party.
I don't know anyone opposed to ICE going after the worst-of-the-worst. The problem and the reason for the protests is that the "Pretti-Good" ones are also being apprehended, brutalized, and even killed.
