Jameel Mahmoud’s career offers a window into the musical traditions of Saudi Arabia’s Western region.

As a singer, composer, and presenter, he hosted Watar wa Samar, a Saudi television programme that showcased local music and artists. Through the programme, he also explored ‘Maqamat’, the melodic systems at the heart of Arabic music, inviting audiences to experience Saudi and regional musical traditions.

Thaj Archaeological Site offers a window into Saudi Arabia’s history.

Discoveries at the site include the remains of a walled city, ancient burial sites, wells and the remarkable Thaj Treasure, featuring gold jewellery, gemstones, and a gold funerary mask. Together, they reveal Thaj’s importance as a center of trade and cultural exchange in ancient Arabia.

At the Saudi pavilion at the 39th Moscow International Book Fair, visitors explored the Kingdom's literary landscape throughout the event at Gostiny Dvor.

Guests explored the Kingdom's literary works, attended seminars and workshops, and discovered the cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation.

Did you know camels have already made their way from Saudi heritage to contemporary fashion?

From the bisht to leather shoes and bags, camel materials are being reworked into contemporary design. Saudi brand @TamasheeME, led by Muneera Al-Tamimi, uses camel leather to bring Saudi heritage into modern pieces.

Supported by the @FashionMOC, designers are continuing to draw on the Kingdom’s heritage and craftsmanship to shape contemporary fashion.

And the camel’s fashion story travels further: camel hair has appeared in luxury pieces from Louis Vuitton, Prada and Ralph Lauren.
