Day 2 from our NOLA clinic
We took a deeper dive into #MotorPreferences with a mix of classroom learning and hands-on work on the range. Balance, coordination, and intention were the focus—helping athletes move more naturally and efficiently.

We had a great time in NOLA sharing #MotorPreferences with a group of different backgrounds from NCAA level to passionate golfers.
We learned what each preference was, what their preferences are and how to apply it to their games.

Last week marked a significant step forward for Golf Motor Preferences in the United States, as we continued to share our unique approach to natural movement patterns and how golfers can train and perform based on their innate biomechanics.
We spent several days at the prestigious Isleworth Country Club in Orlando, working closely with multiple-time PGA Tour winner D.A. Points. Through in-depth discussions, assessments, and hands-on implementation, we shared how Motor Preferences can unlock a golfer’s true potential by aligning technique with their natural tendencies.
The learning process in golf never stops—it evolves through passion, collaboration, and the constant pursuit of improvement. When like-minded individuals come together to share knowledge and experiences, the game grows in a way that respects each golfer’s unique identity rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all model.
If you’re interested in learning more about our approach, join us next week in New Orleans for a special clinic at the University of New Orleans. This event is open to everyone—secure your spot by registering at https://t.co/2JDpPyiVXA.
Let’s continue shaping the future of golf, one swing at a time!

The preference for balancing on the toes versus the heels is evident in every golfer. Neither option is inherently better or worse; it simply depends on the golfer's natural tendencies and how they leverage them. This choice doesn’t limit rotation when adapted to effectively.
For example, golfers who favor a forward balance, shifting more onto their toes, are often not big rotators. Instead, they tend to rely more on vertical forces, often rebounding into an inverse rotation late in their downswing. Problems arise only when conflicting elements are introduced, leading to inefficiencies in movement.
I also agree that these issues are not about flexibility or mobility, but rather a misunderstanding of how our bodies are naturally designed to move.
The same applies to the flexion versus extension of the trail leg during the backswing. It's a matter of preference, but understanding the consequences of each movement is key, as some golfers may benefit more from one approach over the other.
Motor Preferences are individualized and unconscious . If we are moving in our unnatural position we can do it of course, however it will never be as efficient as our natural! We are unique! #SwingYOURSwing@MarkRolfingGC@GolfMonthly

@Fit_For_Golf@AKA_WitchDoctor Totally understood but how do we know that player will need larger ranges of x factor?
Phil Mickelson is one of the many great examples of a golfer who doesn't create a ton of x factor.
Each golfer is unique :)
Great point and key word is COULD be good for you!
Each athlete has different cues and feels that clicks with them. One of the key ways to get those answers faster is by identifying a players #MotorPreferences
