This is part of the climate risk and impact assessment project with the Philippine Academic Society for Climate and Disaster Resilience (@pasdresilience) Project: Strengthening Corporate Resilience.

Through collaborative validation of vulnerability and impact assessment indicators, participants advanced the development of a science-based exposure database to support resilience planning across the MPIC Group of Companies.

Maynilad Water Services, Inc. has completed seven major pipe replacement projects across Quezon City in 2025, enabling the recovery of about 8 million liters per day (MLD) of water and helping improve water pressure and supply reliability in several communities.

The ₱563-million project involved the replacement of 32 kilometers of old, leaky pipelines, covering pipe sizes from 75mm to 300mm in the secondary and tertiary distribution system and 1,050mm in the primary distribution system.

Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez said: “These projects required close coordination with the Quezon City government and affected communities, and we appreciate their support in allowing us to complete critical upgrades that strengthen service reliability and reduce water losses."

Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) is strengthening its supply buffer and implementing system optimization measures to help ensure reliable water service during the dry season and periods of increased demand, following PAGASA’s recent El Niño alert.

The company is enhancing water availability through a combination of network management, supply augmentation, infrastructure development, and efficiency improvements aimed at sustaining stable service across its concession area.

Maynilad continues to maximize the output of its existing treatment facilities, including modular treatment plants and NEW WATER facilities, while optimizing operations in its south system plants to augment production and reduce dependence on Angat Dam. These efforts help reinforce supply availability, particularly during periods of higher demand.
