MSP mental health providers Hailie Maas, Dr. Cory Sonnemann, and Doug Evans visited Spring Meadow Lake State Park during a recent Formulary meeting in Helena. The #MTCorrections mental health team provides compassionate, patient-centered care for inmates in DOC facilities.

Twinning for Taser training! #MTCorrections Master Taser Instructors and P&P Officers Cory Purves and Bre Lewis brightened up the P&P Academy’s Taser training with matching Hawaiian shirts. If you look closely, you can see tiny Tasers and lightning bolts within the floral design.

#MTCorrections legal team recently toured Montana State Prison and stopped in at the Montana Correctional Enterprises Dairy. The MCE Dairy produces half pint and bulk containers of whole and skim milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, and ice cream for MSP and other DOC facilities.

Last month, two inmate workers at the Flathead Valley Reentry Center helped bring the holiday spirit to residents by grilling up a festive Fourth of July BBQ. #MTCorrections

Summer is in full swing at Pine Hills Correctional Facility! The #MTCorrections facility hosts a range of animals, including pigs, cows, goats, rabbits, bees, and pheasants. They also have a full garden where inmate workers from Montana Women’s Prison grow food for the kitchen.

Last fall, #MTCorrections opened the Flathead Valley Reentry Center in Kalispell as the first state-run prerelease center. It is the first reentry center in the Flathead Valley and is keeping Montanans like Jason Williamson closer to home.

In June, six members of the Montana Correctional Enterprises inmate fire crew helped set up and tear down for the Big Sky Draft Horse Expo in Deer Lodge. The MCE crew volunteers to help with the event each year. #MTCorrections
