We have two new resources to help people with dementia create and use personal playlists! In one, actor David Tennant helps you make a playlist. In the other, @willygilder01 helps you listen, because like a Tardis, music can take you back! Learn more: https://t.co/n33bwneMDG
I've started work on Album 3. Huge thanks to @CreativeScots for funding to record it. I'm working with Andy MacFarlane (The Twilight Sad). Hope it's better than the last one, no promises it will be less miserable.
Thank you to everyone who joined our event @ScotParl to celebrate the power of personal playlists and gather more support for embedding music further into #dementiacare across @scotgovhealth and the U.K to help people affected by the condition, which without change will be 1 in 2
As part of #NationalPlaylistDay, our ambassador Sir Alex Ferguson met Mil, who lives with dementia, & her partner Ken.
They connected through her personal playlist — and even had a dance! Thanks to @BBCBreakfast for sharing this moment with 5M viewers 💚

Busy day at a sunny Westminster today with @PlaylistforLife speaking to MPs across the UK about how personally meaningful music playlists can improve the lives of people living with dementia and help transform dementia care and support. 🎶☀️🕶️
One of nice things about today’s #InspiringCityAwards25 event was bumping into the team from @PlaylistforLife who won the Community Impact Award.
If you’ve not heard of them, Playlist for Life is an award-winning charity based in #Glasgow which improves the health and wellbeing of people living with dementia through personally meaningful music.
The charity was set up in 2013 by @sallymag1 and provides support to families affected by dementia across the UK.
They want everyone with dementia to have a unique personal playlist and for everyone who loves or cares for them to know how to use it.
My Dad loved music, especially classical music, so much so we worked it into his funeral. Therefore, something like Playlist for Life would have made a massive difference to his quality of life as he suffered from Vascular Dementia.
As such, I’m giving them a plug because music can stimulate the brain, boost the brain function and help stir emotions and memory. That would have meant a lot to my Dad 🎧🤗👍!

@michaelbud1877@BeatrouteArts@gargleblastuk Yes me too! Randomly came across it and it instantly took me straight back to the EK branch. @MarkDurnin did an incredible job recreating it for the poster.
The next Collection Box show I'm involved in hosting is Sunday 3rd August with three amazing acts M. John Henry, First Wives and Man of Moon. Tickets from £5 with all proceeds going to @BeatrouteArts https://t.co/v1JReLxLDI
A special start to this week @PlaylistforLife 💚 It's a privilege to have Sir Alex Ferguson as an ambassador for the charity after many years of quiet but generous support. We know this will help many more people with dementia benefit from the power of personalised music. 🎶
