Another Episode of things that didn’t happen

I remember the first day I met my husband 😭

I billed him on our first date.
He paid for my Uber.
I ate food worth over 100k and he still got me takeaways.

A week later, I billed him for a wig.
He came through too 😂

Before meeting him, I had already decided I was done being the “understanding girlfriend.”

I wasn’t going to stress myself trying to earn love anymore.

Whoever wanted to stay would stay.

For the first 2 months of dating, I didn’t cook for him.
I didn’t do his laundry.
I didn’t clean his house.

Yet within those same 2 months:

He introduced me to his family.
He met mine.
We did our introduction.

It was only after that I started doing the little things naturally.

We got married in the 3rd month.

Today, we’re 6 years married with kids and I have zero regrets ❤️

The funny thing is that before him, I had been in relationships where I was cooking, washing clothes, cleaning houses, doing everything imaginable…

And they still left.

That’s when I learned something:

What works for one woman may not work for another.

Doing the most won’t make someone stay.
Doing the least won’t make the right person leave.

Sometimes, the people who want you make it easy.
And the people who don’t… no amount of sacrifice will convince them.

Who will stay, will stay.
