@JuliusThor_VPR Thank you, Julius. Yes, he had such an impact on the field, and he was a great mentor and friend. I’ve been reminded of many of his great stories all day.
My mentor and friend Terry Wertz passed away on 12/2/21. He was 86 years old. He is a legend in the field of speech-language pathology. I was his last doctoral student. Like many of his former students and colleagues, I owe my career to him. He will live in our hearts forever.

This is awesome! Hits all the key points (many of which are not obvious when we are just starting out). I especially like the part about close-reading >50 papers in your field. The way I learned to write was by "copying" good papers I had read.
Join us for the next ANCDS Continuing Education webinar! Margaret Lehman Blake, PhD, CCC-SLP, will present "Apragmatism: Right Hemisphere Brain Damage Communication Disorders". ANCDS members register free: https://t.co/zAGJHiY0Ag
