It’s childhood cancer awareness month and we’d like to highlight Theo’s story. Follow the link below to read about his journey under the treatment of Dr. Singh and the pediatric neuro-oncology team. Feat. our very own senior resident Dr. Kabbani!

Proud of @atomar_md for being awarded the Mark Bernstein International Fellowship Award from @UofTNeuroSurge! 🚀 Proud alum of @pghneurosurgery@pghneuro 🇵🇭 What a way to end your fellowship! Had to snap a pic with Dan Chair of Neurosurgery @gelarehzadeh !
We were honoured to welcome so many excellent speakers and honoured guests at our Neurosciences Symposium this week on the current trends in epilepsy care. Thank you Dr. Lau and others for joining us and providing excellent talks!
It was an honour to give the Robert Hansebout lecture on advances in epilepsy surgery @MacNeurosurgery.
I particularly enjoyed hearing from Dr. Hansebout about training with Penfield & Rasmussen, meeting the residents, and catching up with @WesternU_NSx alumnus @BillyHWang.
Wow - we are so utterly impressed with the caliber of #carms applicants for neurosurgery this year. Thank you all for interviewing with us and best of luck in your next steps. No matter what happens, you all have very bright futures in neurosurgery ahead of you.
Thank you to all the applicants who joined us for our CaRMS meet and greet this evening! Best of luck on your interviews with us tomorrow, we are looking forward to getting to know you all more.
Another immensely proud moment - one of our PGY4s, Melissa Lannon, recently won the Associate Chair Award at McMaster’s First Cut competition. She presented her outstanding proposal to improve access to DBS in Canada. Excellent work Melissa!
A little belated, but congratulations to Taylor Duda, PGY4 neurosurgery resident on an excellent podium presentation on cost effectiveness of 2 treatment modalities for TN @CNS_Update#neurosurgery
We start them early - here we have Steven Qiu, medical student at McMaster, kicking off the late breaking neurotrauma abstract session at @CNS_Update with an excellent oral presentation on TBI endo types, supervised by Dr. Zador and Dr. Sharma. Congratulations Steven!
